About Us

Meet Rainer Moosmuller who, together with his charming wife Carmen, came to South Africa in 1986 for a three year work contract. Over thirty years later they are still here, enjoying the beauty of the country and the friendliness of this rainbow nation.

After having spent his whole life so far in the international transport and logistics scene, the bug to ride motorcycles bit and eventually led to the foundation of Intibane Bike Tours (Pty) Ltd. Rainer has, by choice, used a motorcycle as his regular means of transport for the last ten years. What better way to combine work and his passion to see the country and meeting with locals. Using accommodation ranging from simple camp sites to B&Bs and hotels, he has travelled more than 750,000 km on his bikes touring South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Mocambique, Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and Kenya both on and off-road.

We are looking forward to share our passion for Africa and show you some of the most beautiful places on earth, from the seaside to the mountains, from the bushveld to the deserts, all of this embracing the great variety of the bird and wildlife rounding up our tailor made tours, set up to make it an experience of a lifetime. After each days riding, the evenings are spent in hand-picked B&Bs or lodges, where a great variety of South African cuisine combined with a decent drink of choice will round up your experiences during the day.

Aside from the most scenic routes you can find, we will combine our tours with the specific interest of our customer. You tell us what you would like to see and what you would like to do so we can emphasize on your requirements. You want to see the big five? You want to do shark diving? You want to fly in an air balloon? You want to go backpacking in a remote area? You want to improve your riding skills, on or off-road? We will provide you with a package encompassing more than just riding a motorcycle. We make it an experience of note, individually established as per your specific wishes and expectations!
