Tour 1 – Klein Mpumalanga Circle

This is a 4 day short excursion to the beautiful Mpumalanga Lowveld area. A total distance of approx. 1.200km will be covered, all of it on tar.

On day one we will leave after a short briefing to reach our lunch spot close to Emthonjeni (Machadodorp), followed by the scenic stretch through the valleys of the Schoemanskloof. Alongside the Crocodile River we will work our way towards our day’s destination, the beautiful Hazyview.

Day two will lead us via White River and the magnificent Boulder’s road to Kaapmuiden. Following the Makhonjwa mountain range bordering the Kingdom of Swasiland we will reach the historic town of Barberton, where we will stop for a lunch break. The afternoon will be spent riding the scenic road to Mbombela (Nelspruit) from where we take a different route back to Hazyview.

The third day will be spent with an excursion to God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes, after which we continue to our day’s destination, the Blyde River Canyon. Don’t forget you swimming costumes, you may want to cool off in their large pool after the day’s riding.

Day four rounds the tour off with a visit to the historical mining town of Pilgrim’s Rest, pancakes for lunch in Sabie and a stunning road back via the Long Tom Pass to Mashishing (Lydenburg), through scenic valleys to Dullstroom, Belfast and finally back to Johannesburg.
